DEVA – A Grand Celebration of Indian Folk, Traditional & Spiritual Art in Dubai
Dubai witnessed a powerful celebration of art, culture, and spirituality through DEVA, an exclusive Indian Folk and Traditional Art Exhibition conceptualised and curated by Vidisha Pandey, Founder of The Indian Folk Art Corridor and Vidisha’s Creations.
The exhibition aimed to present India’s rich folk and traditional art heritage on a global platform, creating a meaningful cultural dialogue in the heart of the UAE.
Inauguration & Distinguished Guests
The exhibition was formally inaugurated by renowned film actress Ms. Kalpana Iyer, adding grace and prominence to the occasion.The event was further honoured by the presence of esteemed guests Mr. Atul Panase, Mr. Anjini Prakash Laitu, Mr. Peter Gressmen, Ms. Sultana Kazim, Ms. Manju Ramanan, Ms Ambika Vohra, Diyali Senbhalla and Ms. Ayesha Sheikh, whose support and encouragement added immense value to the celebration of Indian art and culture.
Art Forms Showcased
DEVA brought together a remarkable collection of traditional Indian art forms, including Pichwai, Madhubani, Kalamkari, Kerala Mural, Theyyam, Banaras Ghat Art, Lippan Art, Tanjore Painting, and Shilp Shastra–inspired works.
In addition, the exhibition featured spiritually themed artworks depicting Lord Krishna, Shrinath Ji, Lord Ganesha, Goddess Durga, Buddha, Shri Yantra, and the Holy Kaaba, symbolising devotion, peace, unity, and universal harmony.
An International Platform for Indian Artists
DEVA served as a strong international platform for Indian artists from diverse regions of the country to present their finest works. The exhibition attracted art lovers, collectors, cultural enthusiasts, and members of the wider community in Dubai, who deeply appreciated the storytelling, traditional techniques, and cultural depth reflected in the artworks.

Speaking about the exhibition, curator Vidisha Pandey shared that DEVA is part of her long-term mission to take Indian folk and tribal art to every corner of the world. Through The Indian Folk Art Corridor, she continues to create meaningful opportunities for traditional artists by offering them visibility, recognition, and respect on global platforms.
